When and where is the TJCSGA State Convention held?


The TJCSGA State Convention is held every spring. For 2026, it is scheduled for April 17-19 at the Westin DFW in Irving, TX.

Yes, there are various awards for SGAs, including Student of the Year, Advisor of the Year, and Chapter of the Year. Winners at the regional level advance to the state competition.

Yes, students can participate in state committees. However, there can only be chosen representatives for each committee per region, appointed during the Spring TJCSGA Region Conferences.

TJCSGA regions typically hold general business meetings three times a year – in Fall, Spring, and during the State Convention in April.

 Yes, regions often have their own chants. For example, Region V has a specific call-and-response chant that can be started by anyone in the region.
